Exceeding hypergrowth revenue targets with a positive ROAS and hiring the right team to scale up

OBJECTIVE:
As the CMO of iMusician Digital AG, I was hired to internationalise the company in 6 languages and to reach hypergrowth revenue targets while keeping a positive ROAS to maximize cashflow.


APPROACH:
Within 2,5 years, I have hired and lead a team of 15+ marketing and customer support managers. We used a growth hacking and an agile marketing approach to quickly identify the best content and methods to generate leads and convert customers across multiple channels (SEA, Facebook and Instagram Advertising, Email marketing, Social media, partnerships, SEO, offline events)

RESULTS:
22% over hypergrowth YoY revenue target in 2017
28% over hypergrowth YoY revenue target in 2018

ROAS > 1 (with 100’000+ customers)

Increasing sales revenue with content marketing for scientific companies

OBJECTIVE:
Researchgate is the worldwide social network for researchers with 10.000.000+ users and more than 100.00.000 monthly visitors. The sales department was in charge of generating revenue by offering targeted digital advertising and content marketing solutions to scientific companies selling products and services to researchers (B2B2C sales).

APPROACH & RESULTS:
As a Lead Generator, I have generated 200+ potential leads per week using scraping tools.

As a Sales Executive I have exceeded our weekly targets of booking more than 10 qualified demo-appointments per week by cold calls and emails, and I was promoted to Account Executive after being nominated Second Best Sales Executive of the quarter.
As an Account Executive, I have closed 4 figure revenue targets and ended up Second Best Account Executive of the quarter.

Launching and funding an IoT music tech startup from scratch​

OBJECTIVE:
Together with 5 co-founders, we took the challenge of creating a revolutionnary wearable for musicians.

APPROACH & RESULTS:
As a co-founder, I was in charge of product management and in less than 6 months, we created and validated a MVP which allowed us to get funding from a startup Accelerator in Hong Kong. Soundbrenner is still active and has just released his second product on the market.

Developing an agile system to optimize communication, project management and onboarding between two offices

OBJECTIVE:
iMusician Digital AG is a Swiss company. As their CMO, I was hired to lead their fast growing office in Berlin, which was taking care of all Marketing and Customer Support activities. The Tech- and Product delivery team was located in Zurich and I had to optimize the communication and project management to make sure we kept on delivering our services on time (24h answering time, 48h delivery), while developing new products, optimizing our marketing activities and hiring and onboarding 20+ new people in the two offices.

APPROACH & RESULTS:
We setup an agile workflow with Asana and Slack which allowed us to (almost) get rid of internal emails, iterate quickly and smoothly our marketing activities and launch a new backend platform .

Bringing a nanomaterial for batteries from lab to industrial production

OBJECTIVE:
At the corporate worldwide leader in phosphates Prayon, I was hired as a R&D Manager right after my Ph.D. thesis to work within a cross-functional team of scientists and engineers on the development of a nanomaterial for electric vehicle batteries. The goal was to bring that product from a laboratory scale to its industrial production.

APPROACH & RESULTS:

Within less than 3 years, we successfully optimized the product performance and scaled up the production to a 50T/year plant. Reporting to the Sr R&D Manager, I was in a charge of lab and pilot tests and managed two teams of up to 6 technicians and workers.
